___Gabi Mo
Gabriela Mo remembers being encouraged to use her parents’ professional camera from a young age. At ten, she got her own Kodak automatic, back in the 90s, and the challenge was to save film. Since then, photography has been a constant in her life, shaping both personal and professional journeys.
Gabriela’s creative lens captures everyday moments with cinematic flair, always seeking the perfect light and angle. Her greatest inspiration is her love for daily life—fueling her storytelling and unique approach to capturing emotions.
In directing, this ability shines through in documentary projects that give voice and visibility to real people, as well as in commercial productions that aim to touch audiences with poetry and depth.
Her short film “Pássaro Distante” was selected for the London Short Film Festival, Outernet London, Exit-Here London, and spotlighted by Free the Work as Short of the Month in 2021. It also screened at São Paulo’s Museum of Image and Sound (MIS). Her feature documentary “Mulheres de Havana” was selected for the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival and the San Diego Latino Film Festival, and won both the jury and audience awards at the 2021 Santos Film Fest. In advertising, Gabriela has worked with brands like Google, Facebook, Coca-Cola, Santander, Stella Artois, Michelob, and Canon.
